Minor Alterations

DSCF8095Sometimes just a small alteration is required to a building to unlock extra space or create better flow through a living area.  We can produce calculations and drawings for the smallest of structural alterations. This can normally be carried out under a building notice.

For these works there is not normally any architectural input required and we provide initial free advice over the phone and then carry out a measured survey, produce the necessary calculations and drawings for you or your builder to submit to the local authority under a building notice. Some of the minor works we regularly help our clients with are…

  • Widening of doors and windows or relocating
  • Creation of new door and window openings
  • Partial or full removal of a chimney breast
  • Replacement of corroded / failing lintels and small beams
